Automotive Cryogenic Cleaning

Chassis, Wheel arch and Engine cleaning. Zero Water Damage. Brought Directly to Your Doorstep

In classic, performance, and 4x4 vehicle maintenance, deep cleaning the engine bay, wheel arches, and chassis requires extreme care to avoid damaging delicate electricals or stripping original finishes. Traditional pressure washing forces water into sensitive wiring looms, while manual scraping risks scratching underlying metal. Vortex Ice Labs operates a 100% mobile cryogenic cleaning service, bringing high-precision dry ice blasting straight to your garage or workshop removing failing underseal, baked-on oil, road grime, and surface oxidation using zero liquid water and zero abrasive media

Maintaining high-value prestige vehicles, classic cars, and off-road 4x4s requires keeping the engine bay, wheel arches, and chassis rails spotlessly clean for detailed presentation, mechanical prep, or pre-purchase inspections. However, scrubbing away decades of caked-on road grime, engine oil crusts, and brittle, failing bitumen underseal is tedious work that can easily trap moisture or scratch underlying OEM paint and plating.

Vortex Ice Labs delivers a completely mobile, 100% dry cryogenic cleaning process. Utilizing dry ice pellets at -78.5°C, our micro-blast thermally shocks and instantly fractures road dirt, heavy oil, and flaking underseal directly off bare metal, factory paint, and zinc-plated fittings. Because our mobile rig is entirely self-sustained—powered by high-output onboard diesel air compression and independent power—we bring the complete setup to you. While access to a two-post or two-column vehicle lift on site is always preferred for optimal access, our mobile unit carries its own portable tilting lift system to safely elevate your vehicle on-site.

The Blasting Process

Engine Bay Cleaning

Dry ice deep cleaning of engine blocks, manifolds, hoses, and brackets to remove oil, grease, and grime without using water or harsh chemicals.

Treatment of a high temperature ceramic coating part of the package

Underbody & Chassis Clean

Dry ice, thorough cleaning of the vehicle's underside, including suspension arms, mounts, fuel lines, and brake lines.

Prepared for your choice of coating in the next step.

Wheel Arches

Removal of wheels, and wheel arch liners. Removing road salt, mud, and build-up from liners, shocks, and struts. Washing of wheel arch liners before replacement.

We'll ensure any missing or broken clips are replaced once the treatment is finished.

The Dry Ice Advantage

Precision Focus on Engine Bays, Arches & Chassis

100% Water-Free & Zero Moisture Risk

Fully Autonomous Mobile Setup (With On-Board Lift Solution)

Engine bays house sensitive electronic control units, sensors, and delicate rubber hoses, while wheel arches and chassis rails feature hard-to-reach pockets where grime collects. Dry ice blasting allows us to safely clean deeply into engine compartments, intricate suspension linkages, and chassis box rails without introducing water short-circuits, surface erosion, or mechanical wear.

Pressure washing or steam cleaning forces water into unsealed chassis cavities, body seams, and electrical connectors—trapping dampness that fuels rust from the inside out. Because dry ice sublimates instantly into carbon dioxide gas on impact, our cleaning process is completely moisture-free. There is zero risk of electrical faults, trapped water, or corrosion acceleration.

We bring a complete, self-powered cryogenic cleaning bay directly to your location. Operating entirely independently without needing your site's power or water connections, we make the process effortless. If you have a vehicle lift available, we can utilize it for full access; if not, we bring our own heavy-duty portable tilting lift system to elevate your vehicle safely and perform a thorough underbody clean wherever you are.
