Paint Booth & Spray Line Decontamination

Flawless Airflow. Zero Substrate Scratches. Maximum Spray Booth Productivity.

In high-volume automotive bodyshops, industrial coating facilities, and automated spray lines, maintaining pristine paint booths, floor grates, fan blades, and wall panels is critical for preventing overspray contamination and ensuring smooth paint finishes. Traditional cleaning—such as scraping with chisels, high-pressure washing, or chemical strippers—is labor-intensive, hazardous to operators, and risks damaging expensive booth infrastructure. Vortex Ice Labs delivers a high-speed, 100% dry cryogenic cleaning service that completely strips multi-layered paint overspray, sticky adhesives, and baked-on clear coats—using zero liquid water and zero toxic chemicals.

Achieving mirror-like paint finishes requires total control over booth airflow, lighting clarity, and airborne dust. However, over time, spray mist, powder coating, and solvent-based overspray build up into thick, hardened crusts on floor grates, exhaust ducting, conveyor hooks, and glass windows. Trying to manually scrape these hardened layers off or soaking them in aggressive chemical thinners generates hazardous VOC fumes, creates massive liquid waste, and takes spray lines offline for days.

Vortex Ice Labs revolutionary dry ice blasting service cleans booth infrastructure faster and safer than any manual method. Utilizing food-grade dry ice pellets at -78.5°C, our high-velocity micro-blast thermally shocks hardened paint overspray on contact, fracturing the bond between the coating and the underlying surface without damaging booth walls, seals, or lighting enclosures. Powered by our fully autonomous mobile division with onboard diesel air compression and independent power, we deploy directly to your facility during off-peak hours or scheduled maintenance windows—getting your spray lines back up to speed with zero secondary cleanup.

The Dry Ice Advantage

Protects Booth Liners, Glass & Delicate Mechanicals

Restores Optimal Ventilation & Eliminates Fire Risks

100% Water-Free & Zero Secondary Waste

Metal scrapers, wire wheels, and aggressive media blasting scratch galvanized booth walls, score glass fixtures, and strip protective coatings from exhaust fan assemblies. Dry ice pellets are completely non-abrasive. We safely lift years of heavy overspray build-up from delicate spray nozzles, glass covers, sensors, and airflow grates repeatedly without causing surface wear or structural distortion.

Compromised booth exhaust systems lead to poor airflow, trapped fumes, and an increased risk of fires caused by dried paint dust buildup. Dry ice micro-blasts penetrate deep into intricate floor grates, ductwork curves, and fan impellers where manual scraper blades cannot reach. Removing heavy paint accumulation restores design airflow rates, ensuring consistent ventilation and compliance with health and safety standards.

Traditional pressure washing or chemical stripping generates gallons of contaminated wastewater that must be collected, contained, and costly to dispose of as hazardous waste. Because dry ice pellets sublimate (convert instantly into gas) on impact, the only thing left to remove is the dislodged, dry paint flake. Zero water means zero risk of electrical short-circuits to booth motors or control panels, allowing immediate re-entry for production.
