Cut cleaning downtime on moulds, tooling and production machinery
Residue, release agent, grease and carbon build up on tooling and machines until quality drops or a line stops. Cleaning usually means stripping down, solvents, or grit blasting that wears away the surface you're paying to protect. Dry ice blasting cleans in place, without abrasion, and the ice turns to gas on contact. The only thing left to sweep up is the dirt.

Why manufacturers use dry ice
-
Less downtime. Much of the equipment can be cleaned in place, often while still warm, so there's no strip-down and no drying time.
-
Protects tooling. Non-abrasive, so mould surfaces, vents and tolerances aren't worn away.
-
Safe around electrics. Dry and non-conductive, so panels, motors and sensors can be cleaned in situ.
-
No secondary waste. No grit, wastewater or solvent to dispose of.
-
Fits your schedule. We work during planned shutdowns, weekends or between shifts.
Dry ice is excellent on grease, residue, release agents and carbon. It is less effective on some hard, cured coatings. On the site visit we'll test it and tell you straight if it isn't the right tool.
